ARCH 3610 Spring 2013 - Mac Stelmach
Design Hypothesis
Reasoning behind the position of the Design and it's shape.
Vector Lines are pointing in the direction of 3 specific points that create a intersecting center point. to Give the lines a magnitude based on it's relevance, a circular grid is made. Another grid is added to portray the design's objective to collect or simply suck in information. The Vector Lines are then offset to create fields that become potential spaces.
Collage and Study Models
Feeling
Representation of the feeling the site creates.
Study Models Associated with the Collage
Connection
Representation of what is connection.

The Matrix
Represents the likely Spaces with their square footage and probable connection.
Red indicates the spaces must be close in proximity
Blue indicates the spaces should be close in proximity
Green indicates it would be nice to have close in proximity
Bubble Diagram
Represents the Matrix in a visual manner
Size of the text in a Bubble and its stroke represent their relevance compared to the others
Stroke of the Line represent the relevance of connection
Filled Lines represent a connection between the spaces
Hallow Lines represent a possible connection between spaces

The Images above are GIF images that change gradually to present a specific study of the building. Note that the studies are what I perceive and assume to be true for the buildings.
Based on these studies I've established some basic knowledge of space organization for Research Facilities and what king of spaces are most likely required.
